All in Life
Nothing is good enough. We want more. More cars, more shoes, more money, and we ALWAYS complain about not having enough time. If we give up some of our SHIT, the pursuit of materialistic endeavors for one, we would have more TIME.
My heart was throbbing. My fists clenched. A few were publicly questioning my integrity. They were spewing misinformation. False claims. They made disgusting remarks about people I genuinely care about on my team.
All they wanted to do was try and hurt others.
Nothing happened.
It didn’t impact anything.
Nothing resulted from it besides their anger.
But I take false statements about my team personal.
It's the shitty people apocalypse. They're loose everywhere.
Must. Find. Shelter.
To avoid these type of people, you need first to learn how to spot them, and then, deal with them.
Your boys okay, the Doctor asked me. He was referring to my testicles.
All is good.
What am I supposed to say?
Please grab them and make me cough.
That's exactly what I should have done.
It's awkward.
Punch him in the nose was my first thought. Not just a gentle love tap. A knock-his-lights-out right hook.
People are shitty.
We run into them throughout our lives. Some are better than others, but we’ll have the leftover of someone shitty stuck on your shoe at some point.
You can't escape them.
My parent's dog died. I thought it was my mom at first. Someone ran into my office and yelled, "your mom!" My heart sank. My mind went to the darkest place. WHAT?
You're irrational. Fear. Anger. Resentment. Anxiety. Sadness. The never-ending emotional list. These emotions — make you irrational. They make you lash out. They force you to make bad decisions.
If you’re looking for glorified fairy dust to spring you out of bed in the morning, this isn’t for you.
However, if you’re looking for a new tip, to get your day started the right way, keep reading.
Everyone talks about the morning routine. And sure, a solid morning routine is nice, but I still believe the pre-morning routine is your best bet for a great morning.
I also believe what happens in your sheets (get your mind out of the gutter) before your feet hit the ground is the next best thing.
Why?
Because that’s where the day starts.
This small trick has helped start my morning on the right foot, many times.
He woke up moody. Never happy. A miserable chump that liked being a grump.
Do you know someone like this? Be honest. Is it you?
Maybe you’re not grumpy, maybe you’re sad, a perpetual crier, liar or any unfriendly emotion/habit. We all go through these emotions at some point in our lives.
We all experience pain, failure and sadness. But, these emotions aren’t attractive.
I’m as patient as a cat in a fishbowl. As a dog in front of a bone. As patient as a toddler in a toy store.
I’m not patient.
When you look deep within yourself, you’re impatient for many reasons.
I’m impatient because of my wild personality traits. ADD, type-A, mildly OCD and introverted. Go ahead, keep thinking it.
I’m a mess, and it’s safe to say, you’re not far behind me.
Over the years of building my business, I’ve learned many lessons on how to be patient, which I’ll share with you now…
